Threw $150 at a fancy karaoke mic setup and it was a total bust

I bought one of those Bluetooth karaoke mics with all the effects for a party last month. Cost me $150 from a random online shop, figured it'd be a hit. Thing had a half-second delay so everyone's voice was off, and the reverb made it sound like we were singing in a tin can. Nobody wanted to use it after the first song, total waste of cash. Anyone else get burned on those all-in-one mics or found one that actually works?

Oh man, that sucks so much. I did the same thing last year with a mic I found on Instagram - the delay was horrible, everyone sounded like a bad dub. The worst part is you get so excited to use it and then it totally flops at the party. Hopefully you can return it or at least leave a brutal review so nobody else wastes their cash.

Did you check the reviews before buying or just go off the Instagram ad? I feel like those ads always make things look way better than they actually are, especially with audio gear. The latency issue is pretty common with cheap wireless mics, they never mention it in the promo video. Were you able to return it or did the seller ghost you?

Seems like everything's just built to break down the moment you actually try to use it.
