Serious question, my linocut prints started smearing after I moved my drying rack next to the window
Three weeks ago I moved my rack from the closet to the south window in my Denver place and now every print smears when I rub it, even after 48 hours. Turns out the sun was heating the ink just enough that it never fully set, and I lost 11 prints before I figured it out. Anyone got a spot in their place that keeps carvings dry but out of direct light?
11 prints gone is rough, I would've been done after the second one. South windows in Denver are brutal because that high altitude sun just cooks everything, even in winter. My setup is a shelf in the hallway closet with a small fan running, dark and dry and nothing has smeared since.
