Saw a guy on a jobsite trimming a massive oak with a hand saw yesterday

He was up there for 3 hours on one branch and I had my Silky on the truck but he said he 'prefers the workout'. Anyone else run into stubborn climbers who refuse to use modern gear?

Yeah but did he also insist on chipping the branches with a pocket knife for that 'authentic experience'? Dude probably drives to work barefoot too.

I mean, is it really that deep? "Prefers the workout" sounds like dude just wanted to take his time and enjoy the sunshine. Not everything has to be a race to the finish with the latest gear.
