Unpopular opinion: Anime review scores cause more harm than good

I trusted a high score for a show and it was a letdown. Now I ignore numbers and read actual discussions.

Oh wow, do I ever regret trusting those shiny high scores? Made myself sit through a whole season hoping it would get good, when did I become so gullible? Reading actual discussions is the only way to avoid my own hype train wrecks.

Metacritic averages are usually spot on for me.

80% of Metacritic reviews align, but @nancy820's forum idea spots the exceptions.
