Why does nobody talk about the sudden hail storm that wrecked half my jobs in one afternoon?
After that crazy weather last month, I had to call 9 different customers to reschedule and spent over $4,000 just on materials to redo the work... has anyone else had to deal with insurance claims for something like this?

Over $4,000 just on materials" is a brutal hit.

Tell me about it, my own truck looked like a golf ball after that mess. Cameronwood is right, that material cost is a real kick in the teeth. Dealing with the insurance paperwork felt like a second job all by itself. They argued every little detail, right down to the brand of shingles I had to replace. I spent more time on hold with them than I did fixing the actual damage. It makes you wonder if paying the premium is even worth the headache some years.

Honestly, that shingle brand argument is the exact kind of petty stuff that makes my blood boil. Tbh, did you ever get a straight answer on why they were fighting you on that specific detail? Feels like they just look for any tiny excuse to cut their own cost, even if it means you get a worse roof. Ngl, I've started recording every single call with them now because the "we never said that" game got so old. Makes you want to just eat the cost yourself some years to avoid the whole circus.
