The local paper's feature really gave us a boost last month.

It reminded me of when we relied on word of mouth alone. Now we get calls from all over the Panhandle.

Notice how everything feels so local until it gets that one bit of attention. Turns into calls from all over, just like that.

My cousin's garage band got written up in some online music blog last month. They went from playing to 20 friends to getting emails from booking agents in two different countries. It's wild but honestly most of those leads never pan out.

My local news did a story on a porch cat last year and suddenly people from three states away were trying to adopt him. Funny how that works.
