Customer feedback made me stop using free website builders

I ran my Amarillo hardware store on a free Wix site for two years. A customer told me last month she couldn't find our hours or phone number on mobile, and I realized I'd never checked how it looked on a phone. I switched to a paid Squarespace plan for $23 a month and rebuilt the layout in a weekend. Has anyone else lost business over a bad mobile site?

Squarespace is $23 a month? I thought it was $16.

Wait, @white.seth are you sure about that $16 price? I think Squarespace starts a little higher when you add the custom domain and basic ecommerce features... I looked into it last year and the cheapest plan that let me sell a few things was around $22 or $23 with tax. The free Wix site I had was a nightmare on mobile too, I had customers tell me my contact form was broken on their phones for weeks before I even noticed. That kind of feedback stings but it's good you caught it early.
