My car hit 200,000 miles and I'm not celebrating like everyone says I should

Everyone I know acts like a car hitting 200k is this huge, scary milestone where you should sell it fast. My Honda Accord just rolled over to 200,001 miles last Tuesday on my way to a showing in Maplewood. I've kept up with every oil change and replaced the timing belt at 150k. It runs fine! People keep telling me I'm overthinking the repair costs, but I've done the math. A $500 repair twice a year is still way cheaper than a new car payment. Am I crazy for wanting to drive this thing until the wheels literally fall off?

Maplewood's full of people who replace things that still work.

Actually, that's the smartest money move. Why trade a known cost for a huge new debt?

Wondering if people are overthinking this one. A refrigerator that's still cooling and a stove that still heats aren't exactly a crisis. Seems like some folks just get anxious about appliances for no real reason. Maybe it's just easier to wait until something actually breaks instead of planning like it's a disaster. Not everything needs to be a big money move.
