Can we talk about turning down a $4,000 job and everyone saying I was crazy?
A regular client in Denver asked me last spring to take on a restaurant chain contract worth $4,000 a month, but it meant dropping my smaller weekly customers and I said no. Everyone told me I was nuts for walking away from steady money, yet six months later two of those little accounts turned into bigger commercial deals that pay about the same without the 2am calls. Was I overthinking it, or does anyone else think turning down the big check was the right call?
