Wasted $200 on a spray foam insulation DIY kit from Lowe's
I figured I'd save money insulating my garage attic myself with one of those DIY spray foam kits. Turned out the foam didn't cure right because it was too cold that weekend in February. Had to pay a guy $600 to scrape it all off and do it proper. Anyone else regret trying this stuff without a pro?

Oh man, that is such a bummer. @jones.angela is exactly right, you really ended up out eight hundred bucks total, not just two. I did nearly the same thing myself with one of those kits a couple years back, except it was too humid and the foam just kind of sagged and dripped down the walls like honey. Spent a whole weekend trying to clean it up and then had to call a pro who charged me almost seven hundred to strip it all and start fresh. It's one of those jobs where the temperature and humidity have to be just right or you're sunk. I learned my lesson too; now I leave anything with two chemical tanks to the guys with the big rigs and the heated hoses.

Wasted $200" oh honey no, you mean you wasted $800 total when you add what you paid the guy to fix it. That's brutal. I almost tried one of those kits myself last fall but my buddy who does insulation talked me out of it at the last minute. He said the temp has to be perfect or the foam turns into a sticky mess that never sets right. Sorry you had to learn that the hard way, that's a rough lesson.
