Swapped my 6-inch roller for a 12-inch one and boy did I get a surprise

I decided to try a 12-inch roller on my living room ceiling last weekend because I thought it would go faster. Instead, I ended up with drips everywhere and had to cut in three extra times to fix the mess. Has anyone else had trouble with bigger rollers on textured ceilings around Albuquerque?

Huh, I actually had the opposite experience. That 12-inch roller cut my ceiling time in half and I got way better coverage without as many lap marks. You just gotta really wring the excess paint off the roller before you start and move slow and steady, not fast like a small roller.

Man I feel your pain on that one. I tried the same thing with a 12-inch roller on my living room ceiling and it was a disaster. The damn thing just held way too much paint and I had drips running down my arm and onto the floor. I ended up having to go back over everything with a smaller roller just to smooth it out. Textured ceilings in Albuquerque are tricky enough without adding a monster roller to the mix. I'll stick with my 6-incher from now on.
