My condo board spent $8k on fancy cameras but the parkade door still opens with a coat hanger

Last month I watched the management company install all this expensive surveillance gear, but when my fob died and I tried the emergency key, the whole lock cylinder just spun free in the frame, so has anyone else dealt with boards throwing money at the wrong fix while the actual weak point sits there untouched?

Man, that's the classic condo board move right there. I read somewhere that most break-ins at places like this are just people messing with the weak hardware, not the fancy tech. You'd think they'd test the actual locks before dropping that kind of cash on cameras that might not even be pointed at the door that matters. My buddy's building did the same thing, spent a fortune on new gates, but the back stairwell door still had a latch you could pop with a credit card. It's like they're more worried about looking secure than actually being secure. Maybe next time they should hire a guy with a coat hanger to do a security check before they buy anything else.
