Why does nobody talk about preheating the air fryer for frozen foods?
I kept getting soggy fries and chicken wings until I realized the basket needs to heat up for a full 3 minutes before dumping the frozen stuff in. This morning I put them in cold and got a sad, limp batch again. Anyone else skip this step without thinking?

Wait, people put frozen food into a cold air fryer?? Thats insane. You gotta preheat that thing for at least 3-4 minutes, I learned that the hard way too after ruining a whole bag of fries. The steam just sits in there if you don't preheat and turns everything into a sad, soggy mess. I even preheat for frozen chicken wings now, makes the skin way crispier. Whoever told us you can skip that step was lying through their teeth.

Sorry @hugo_hayes, I actually get crispier fries by tossing them in cold and letting the defrost time preheat, no soggy mess here.
