Was dead set against AI art for my blog headers, now I use it every week

I spent 3 years paying a designer $150 per header image because I thought AI would look cheap, but after trying Midjourney for a free trial I actually got complimented on my site's new look. Has anyone else flipped their opinion on a tool they swore they'd never use?

That reminds me of when I posted a photo of my old cat sleeping in a cardboard box on Facebook. I got one comment from my cousin saying "cute kitty" but the photo ended up getting shared like 50 times without anyone actually saying anything. It made me wonder if people just scroll and silently appreciate stuff or if they actually hate it and are being polite. Sometimes the quiet posts are the ones that hit people the hardest but nobody knows how to react. The comments arent always the best measure of whether something stuck with people.
