TIL my AI video editor added a random cat to a client's project

Used Runway's Gen-2 for a 30 second ad, got a tabby walking across the screen. Anyone know a good tool that doesn't invent new objects?

Honestly that sounds like a feature, not a bug. A surprise cat is way more engaging than another boring ad. People would remember it and talk about it. I saw a video where an AI put a weird little hat on a dog in the background and it went viral. That's free marketing. You should lean into the weird stuff, it makes your work stand out from the same old clean corporate stuff.

Hold on @janac51, are we really acting like a surprise cat is some genius marketing move? It works because it's an accident, not because it's a strategy. If you try to force that weird hat on the dog, it just looks desperate and fake. People can tell when you're trying too hard to be quirky. The whole thing just feels like overthinking a dumb mistake that got lucky.

My friend's marketing team spent six months on a perfect ad campaign that everyone forgot in a week. The one post that got real attention was when their intern accidentally posted a picture of the office manager's cat sleeping on a keyboard. You're totally right about the weird stuff cutting through the noise. It feels like trying to be perfect just makes everything blend together now. I'd take a surprise cat over another boring product shot any day.
