Appreciation post: Letting AI pick my lunch menu for a week was a disaster
I got sick of deciding what to eat every day so I let an AI app pick between two options each meal. It kept choosing between tacos and a salad, and for 5 days straight it picked tacos. By day 3 I was tired of ground beef and tortillas. By day 5 I had the worst heartburn of my life and my grocery bill hit $120 just for taco fixings. The AI didn't care about nutrition or boredom, it just calculated what I'd eaten before and recommended it again. I ended up tossing half the ingredients because the lettuce went bad. Has anyone else tried letting an algorithm run your daily choices and regretted it?
