That office build where the glass delivery put my ethics on the line
Last month on an office job, we were putting in new windows with laminated glass for safety on the lower floors. The delivery showed up with half of it being plain annealed glass instead. My foreman told me to just install it to avoid delays. I froze up, thinking about how bad it could be if that glass broke and hurt someone. After some tense talks, I sneaked a call to the glass company and they admitted they sent the wrong stuff. They fixed it fast by sending the safe glass the next day. My foreman was mad at first, but later he saw I was right. Now I look back and chuckle, but man, that day was wild.
