I put my laptop on a stack of books to get the camera at eye level. It stops me from looking down all the time. My coworkers say I seem more engaged. I also focus better during calls now.

I nearly caused a neighborhood feud with my experimental jam subscriptions

I mean, idk why I thought offering monthly jam subscriptions from my apartment was a good idea. Maybe it's just me, but fermenting fruit in bulk seemed like a chill side gig. I started with a small group of friends, but word spread, and soon I had orders from people I barely knew. The absurd part came when Mrs. Henderson from down the hall accused my strawberry rhubarb of 'disrupting the building's aroma profile' during a condo board meeting. I had to explain that the bubbling noises were normal, not a plumbing issue, which, given my day job, was ironically fitting. Now I'm sitting on two dozen jars of unsold jam and a newfound appreciation for proper food handling permits. Honestly, the profit margin wasn't worth the interpersonal drama, but at least I learned to check HOA rules before starting any food-based venture.
