Our book club almost broke up over 'Wuthering Heights' last month

My friend's book club had a similar meltdown over the ending of "Project Hail Mary." Two people got into a screaming match about whether the science behind the alien biology was even possible, and one guy almost threw his copy across the room. They had to take a ten minute break to cool off. It was wild.

I just finished a 100-foot retaining wall in Spokane. The foreman insisted on using a lime mortar mix, but I've always used a modern polymer additive. The lime job took twice as long to set, but the foreman says it'll last 100 years. Which side are you on?

Watched this play out with my uncle's old farmhouse. He always said the original lime plaster walls could breathe and move with the house, while modern patches just crack. Sometimes the slow way is the right way, even if it drives you nuts waiting for it to cure.

Serious question, when did air frying tofu become so popular?

My friend who always baked hers said pressing it first was the game changer.

Cleaning out the shop and found our old flower supplier catalogs from the 90s

My dentist's office switched to text reminders and I missed my last cleaning because it felt like spam. The old receptionist used to call and ask how my dog's surgery went. That five minute chat meant I actually showed up.
