Appreciation post: My neighbor's help with a tricky tile layout
I was putting down some tile in my small bathroom last weekend, and I mean, the layout around the toilet was giving me a real headache. Idk, maybe it's just me but cutting those small pieces to fit right seemed impossible. My neighbor, who does this for a living, stopped by and showed me how to use a paper template for the tricky spots. He traced the shape on paper, cut it out, and then used that as a guide on the tile. It made the whole thing so much easier, and I got a perfect fit on the first try. I guess sometimes you just need a fresh pair of eyes, or maybe a simple trick you haven't thought of. Has anyone else found little hacks like that for tough cuts? I'd love to hear more.
