Junk Removal SCV vs standard WM bulk pickup?

I have about 4 large appliances and some bulky furniture to toss. Should I just schedule a bulk pickup with Waste Management (city trash) or is it worth it to hire a private company like Junk Removal SCV? WM is taking forever to give me a date.
