inCoding with my cousin led to a big fight over loops.
Your cousin codes for work, but your tutorial about while loops is totally valid too.

inWeird slack in the hoist line during a lift yesterday
Could be core strand failure inside the wire rope. A buddy of mine had that happen on a yarder, where it felt like a soft bounce before the whole thing let go. The outer strands can look fine while the inner core is corroded or broken. Check if the rope ever got run back on itself in a block or dragged over a sharp edge. That internal damage is scary because you can't see it, but it makes the rope stretch weirdly before it snaps. I'd retire that line immediately.

inMy smart home felt chaotic until I changed one setting
My friend Mark set up motion sensors in his whole house last winter. He didn't adjust the delay at all, so his living room lights would shut off after like two minutes of him just reading on the couch. He had to wave around like an idiot every few minutes, exactly what @samsingh was talking about. It totally defeated the whole point of a relaxing smart home. He finally fixed it by setting a 20-minute timeout for that room, which made all the difference. Sometimes the simplest tech needs the most personal tweaking to actually work right.

inI finally threw out my resistance bands after the third snap this month
Watched my friend's resistance band snap back and leave a welt on his forearm last month. It made that awful crack sound like a gunshot in his garage. Stuff like that really makes you question all the random gear we buy online.

inUpdate: Always skipped eco-shows, but binging 'The Last of Us' got me thinking
Which scene actually flipped the switch for you?
