At the juice bar, I didn't tip for a smoothie and got a look.
Tipping for blended drinks feels like paying extra for someone to push a button.

Seriously, those digital tip prompts at checkout are the real problem here. They put you on the spot before you even taste the drink. Why are we letting a screen decide what good service is? I mean, should we tip for every automated task now? It feels like tipping has lost all meaning when it's expected for pushing a button.

What are we tipping for exactly, the five seconds of blender noise? They scoop pre-cut fruit from a bin, press blend, and pour. I don't tip my microwave for reheating coffee. If I'm tipping for a drink, it should involve actual mixing or steaming, not just one button.

Tipping has really lost its meaning lately. We're expected to add money for simple tasks that machines could do. This trend pops up everywhere, from coffee shops to self-serve kiosks. Those digital prompts just pressure you into paying extra for no reason. It feels like companies are using tips to avoid paying fair wages.
