Wait, isn't that kind of a good thing though? A busted mug means you get to buy a new one and maybe upgrade to something way better. I always end up liking my replacement stuff more than whatever broke in the first place.

Are you the kind of person who gets really attached to your mugs though? Like, I had a diner mug that developed this tiny chip right on the rim and it became my favorite drinking spot, you know? Every morning I'd turn it to that exact chipped edge. When it finally cracked all the way down the side, I was legit sad for a week (my husband thought I was crazy). Replacement mugs never feel the same because they don't have that worn-in spot or the faded decal that you've been rubbing with your thumb for years.
