PSA: Grouping sketches by concept made my sketchbook tours actually enjoyable
For years, my sketchbooks were a chaotic mix of ideas, making tours awkward as I fumbled through pages. I started marking edges with washi tape in different colors for each project, like blue for landscapes and red for character studies. Suddenly, during tours, I could flip directly to coherent sections, and the narrative flow just clicked. It's a simple fix, but it made sharing my process so much more intentional.

Your old sketchbook chaos sounds way too familiar. That tape trick is actually genius.

Ugh, finding that old sketchbook was a trip. I had a whole drawer full of dried up pens and those crumbly erasers. The worst was the cracked tape holding some pages together, it just made everything more fragile. Felt like I was uncovering some weird art crime scene I committed years ago. Why did I even keep the broken supplies?

Found that scanning pages works better than tape.
