Just realized my aunt's casual remarks on my sketchbook tours help my art grow

I often share my sketchbook tour videos with my aunt, even though most folks say to ignore family feedback. She points out stuff in my drawings I never notice, which actually pushes me to try new things. Why is there a rule that only other artists should give notes on sketchbook tours?

Only other artists" isn't a real rule, non-artists see things differently.

Totally get what you mean about outsider eyes. I always ask my sister to look at my wiring diagrams. She points out the OBVIOUS stuff I totally miss because I'm too deep in it.
