Seeing a seamless wallpaper installation clip flipped my perspective on home projects

I used to dread wallpaper because of the air bubbles and misalignment issues. A short video showed someone smoothing it out with a plastic squeegee in one continuous motion, and it was hypnotically perfect. I tried the technique on my accent wall, focusing on slow, steady pressure. The result was flawless, and now I'm hunting for more satisfying renovation videos.

Oh totally, that slow squeegee method is a game changer! I finally caved and tried it after ruining a whole roll with my old frantic smoothing. The trick for me was keeping a spray bottle of water with a tiny bit of dish soap to mist the back, it let the paper glide just enough to adjust.

You add dish soap, @lilydixon? That sounds like it would create a sticky mess.

Hold up, the dish soap trick can actually cause problems down the line! It can stop the paste from sticking right and might make the paper peel later. The pros I've seen always say to use the premixed paste, or just water if it's the paste-the-wall kind. That slow squeegee move is GOLD though, you got that part totally right.
