Just realized how quiet the floor is without all the hand grinding.

Robots do most of it now.

What happens to all the workers replaced by robots? That quiet floor means fewer jobs, and machines can't fix everything. A busy shop with people sounds better than an empty one with just robots.

That quiet floor lily110 mentioned also means less money moving around town when those workers can't spend locally. Robots don't buy coffee or get haircuts. It's a bigger hit to the whole community than just lost jobs.
