Pro tip: I keep seeing guys skip the expansion gap on floating floors, especially in bigger rooms over 400 square feet.

Had a call back last week for a buckling job where the installer said 'it'll be fine' and now the whole floor in a Denver split-level is pushing against the baseboard.

He said it would be fine in Denver? That's a bold move.

Wait, he actually said "it'll be fine" in Denver? @hollyramirez is right, that's wild. The weather here alone should tell you it won't be fine.

Saw a piece on this from a local Denver news blog (I forget which one, sorry) that broke down his whole "it'll be fine" thing. They pointed out how he said it right after a hailstorm warning popped up on someone's phone in the audience, which is basically asking for trouble. The article also mentioned he's got a history of downplaying stuff on stage, like that time in Chicago when a stage light fell and he just called it "stagecraft." Good for him for being calm, I guess, but Denver weather is no joke - we get snow in June sometimes, you know? So yeah, "fine" is definitely not the word for it.
