Watching the final season of The Expanse made me see the whole show differently

I binged the first five seasons over a month, but waited a year for the last one. When I finally saw the finale, the earlier political stuff with Mars and Earth suddenly clicked. It wasn't just about spaceships fighting, it was all setting up why the new planets mattered so much. Has anyone else had a show's ending rewire how you saw the beginning?

Tell me you didn't see the twist coming without telling me.

Totally get what you mean about the earlier stuff clicking. I had the same thing with Battlestar Galactica. The whole final reveal about the Cylons made me rewatch the first season and see all the little hints I'd missed, like how certain characters acted around the main ship. It was all there.

Same thing happened to me with The Wire. First time I watched it I thought certain characters were just background noise, then after finishing it I went back and realized every single scene was setting something up.
