Hot take: That final season of Lost really messed me up when I watched it in 2010

I was supposed to be swapping out a water heater in a basement in St. Paul and I stayed up until 3am binge-watching the last few episodes instead of prepping my tools the night before. The job got delayed because I was so tired I forgot my pipe cutter at home and had to drive 45 minutes back to get it. Did anyone else feel like that show just gave up on explaining anything by the end or am I being too hard on it?

I've read that the writers basically made it up as they went along and had no clue how to tie everything together, so they just went with the purgatory thing and called it a day. I remember being so mad at the finale for leaving all that sci-fi nonsense hanging.
