Why does nobody talk about the wind in Cheyenne when you're setting a vinyl fence line?
Last Tuesday, a 40 mph gust caught a whole 8-foot section I was holding plumb and nearly sent me and it into the client's new koi pond before my ground guy grabbed the other end.

Yeah that "nearly sent me into the koi pond" part is way too real. I mean you have to stake every single post as you go out there, like with actual long steel pins driven deep. Even then, I'll sometimes rig a temporary guy line from the top of the post to a stake if it's really howling. Trying to hold it plumb by hand is just asking for a swim with the fish.

Used to think those extra lines were overkill. Watching a post almost take out my neighbor's window changed my mind real fast. Now I just do it every time.
