Ngl I had to pick between using a level or just eyeballing a 200-foot run of privacy fence
Client wanted the fence done in one day. I grabbed my 4-footer and started marking posts. About 50 feet in I realized the line was gonna take forever if I kept checking every single post. So I went full eyeball mode for the rest of it. Honestly it came out pretty straight but there's one section near the back corner that's like a half inch off. The client hasn't noticed yet but I keep looking at it. Has anyone else taken the gamble on a long run and regretted it?

Man that half inch is gonna haunt you every time you walk past it.

Haha oh man, @dylanh97 you're totally right. I'd end up staring at it every morning on my way to the coffee maker, muttering "you were off by a half inch, you absolute tool." It's like a little ghost that only haunts you for that one specific mistake (you know, the kind you can't fix without tearing out the whole shelf).
