I spent $15 on the new spicy chicken sandwich and it was a total letdown

Everyone's hyping it up, but mine was just a dry patty with some weak sauce. Honestly, the regular version for $8 is way better. Anyone else try it and feel the same?

Always thought the hype was real until I got one last week. That spicy sauce tasted like ketchup with pepper in it, and the chicken was so dry. You're right, the regular one is just a better sandwich.

Saw a food blog last year that did a blind taste test with five different fast food spicy chicken sandwiches. The Popeyes spicy came in dead last because of the sauce. The writer called it "glorified cocktail sauce" which is pretty spot on lol. It's all heat and no flavor, and it totally overpowers everything. The regular sandwich lets you actually taste the chicken.
