Update: finally swapped out my 10-year-old dishwasher and it actually cleans dishes now

My old one would leave bits of food stuck to plates no matter how much I pre-rinsed. Got a new one on sale for $650 last week and it even handles dried-on oatmeal without a soak. Has anyone else put up with a bad appliance way longer than they should have?

I mean I was literally rinsing dishes before loading them for like two years when I finally broke down and got a new one. The difference is honestly ridiculous, I can throw in caked on stuff and it comes out spotless now. Just wish I hadn't convinced myself the old one was fine for so long.
