Stopped my kitchen drawers from sticking with a bar of soap I found under the sink
Tbh I was about to rip out one of my cabinet drawers last week because it kept jamming halfway. I tried sanding the sides, even put some wax paper on the runners, nothing worked. Then my neighbor saw me cussing at it and said rub a bar of soap on the edges and the track. I grabbed this old Irish Spring that was sitting there, gave it a few swipes, and it slid smooth as new. Has anyone else used soap for this kind of thing or is there a better cheap fix?

Man I get that drawers sticking is annoying but ripping them out over it seems a little much. Like yeah it's frustrating when they jam but that feels like a big reaction to something that's usually fixable in 10 minutes. Soap makes sense though since it's basically just adding a thin layer of slippery stuff. I'd bet a candle stub or even some cooking oil on a rag would do the same thing without having to go find a bar of soap. But honestly if it worked for you then cool, just seems like you went from zero to angry pretty fast over a drawer.

Wait why would you rip out the whole drawer instead of just fixing the slide?
