Why I think ice rollers are just a fancy gimmick, thanks to a slippery situation

I was demonstrating an ice roller when it shot out of my hands and slid across the floor. This showed me that basic cold compresses work fine without the fuss.

Honestly, I gave up on mine after it kept rolling off the counter. A frozen spoon from my kitchen drawer does the same thing without the hassle. Just feels less like a gimmick that way.

See, that's the thing with those rolling tools, right? I stuck a couple of those rubber cabinet bumpers on the bottom of mine after it took a dive off the table. Like @gibson.mila said, a frozen spoon is way less fuss. But why do they make them so round if they're just going to end up on the floor? Now I keep mine in a drawer with other stuff so it doesn't roll around. Sometimes the simple fix is just better, you know?
