My laptop crashed mid-presentation at a networking mixer last night
I was at a startup mixer in Austin pitching my side project to a group of investors when my screen just went black. The room got quiet and I had to wing it with just a verbal explanation for 3 minutes while it rebooted. Turns out my battery was old and couldn't handle the load, so now I always carry a backup power bank. Has anyone else had a tech fail right when you needed to impress someone important?

That's actually more of a battery age issue than a load problem, old batteries just give up randomly.

Wait, are you telling me my battery just DIED mid-flight? Like, zero warning, no slow drain? That's terrifying. I had a 3S pack go from showing 3.8 volts per cell to completely dead in under two minutes on a warm day. I thought my voltage checker was broken, but no, it just gave up the ghost right there in the air.
