Consistent personal follow-ups, not LinkedIn adds, are how I built a reliable network.

Isn't this just how we deal with everything now? We go for the quick, easy click instead of the slow, real talk. You can add 500 people with one button, but that doesn't mean you know a single one of them. It's like having a pantry full of instant noodles but nothing for a real meal. The stuff that actually lasts, from friends to work connections, always needs you to put in the time and show up more than once. Your post just proves that rule hasn't changed, even if the apps make us forget it.

Scott's instant noodles example shows my network is just junk food.
