That $600 digital level was a total gamble, but it paid off on a hospital job
I caved and bought one of those digital protractor levels last month after my old bubble level kept lying to me on a re-level in Tampa. Dropped $600 on the thing, felt sick about it, but we had to set 12 car doors plumb on a 14 floor hospital tower and it nailed every single one in half the time. My partner still calls it a waste, but we went back for a callback yesterday on a different job and the readings were spot on. Anyone else spend big on a tool that ended up being worth every buck, or am I the only sucker here?
