Cracked capacitor mountain at a thrift store in Jersey

Walked into a Goodwill in Newark and saw 14 dead TVs stacked by the counter, all with the same swollen caps. Made me wonder if anyone actually checks these before they donate, or if we're all just running a informal autopsies on keyboards and toasters. You guys ever find a pattern like that in bulk drops?

Thing is, once you start looking for swollen caps you see em everywhere, I found three dead microwaves at a yard sale last month with the same exact bulges. My buddy swears it's the power grid in certain towns that does it, like the voltage spikes just cook the guts over time. Either way, somebody's definitely running a cap farm out of that Goodwill back room.
