Am I the only one who gets pumped when a loose connector is the whole problem?
I had a tablet come in with no display, and the customer said it took a knock. I was sure the LCD was gone and quoted a high price for parts. After taking it apart, I spotted the main display cable had popped out of its socket on the board. Just seating it back firmly made the screen light up perfectly. The customer was shocked it was such a fast fix, and I felt like a genius. It's those easy wins that keep me going after frustrating repairs. Now I always give cables a good push before ordering anything new.
