Fouled intake for 3 days over a blocked sump screen
Ran my 12-inch cutterhead on the Arkansas River near Pine Bluff last month and lost suction completely. Spent 3 days pulling the ladder, checking the pump, even swapped the impeller gasket before I found a wad of poly rope and cable wrap around the sump screen. No one on my crew thought to check the screen first because it was clean a week prior. Anyone else burn a full shift on a simple blockage you could have seen with a dive mask?
