Warning: My scale setting error nearly shipped a bad draft

I was drafting a foundation plan and somehow set the digital scale incorrectly. The whole thing was off by a large margin, and I almost submitted it to the contractor. In a moment of panic, I remembered to compare it against a printed template from a similar past job. That quick check showed the mistake, and I was able to correct everything before the deadline. It felt like a close call, but having that old template around really saved the day.

Yikes, that must have been a real scare! @betty315 is onto something with physical copies making errors jump out. I've messed up scales before and now I print a test page first. What's your go-to move to stop slips like that?

That "printed template" you had is key. A physical copy you can lay over the drawing is WAY harder to ignore than just opening another file on your screen.

My last printed template saved me from ordering 500 "emergency exit" signs in Comic Sans (true story).
