TIL skipping scale checks on my plots led to a costly reprint

I sent out a drawing at 1:50 instead of 1:100. Now I verify every time, and it saves so much trouble.

I used to skip scale checks too, thinking it was faster to just trust the file. A friend had a similar mess-up where his model was printed way too small because of a scale error. He had to reorder the whole thing, and it set his project back a week. After hearing that, I started making it a rule to verify every time. It takes an extra minute but saves so much hassle. Posts like this just confirm that habit is worth it.

That's a solid point from @masonw43. Do you have a go-to method for checking scale, or just eyeball it in the slicer? It seems like the one step everyone figures out after a bad mistake.

Oof, felt that. I've totally been the person who wasted filament on a tiny, useless print because I didn't double-check. That minute of verifying saves so much pain.
