Shoutout to the guy who caught my bad layer naming habit

I was working on a set of shop drawings for a steel frame in Houston. A senior checker looked at my file and asked why my layers were all 'Layer1' and 'Layer2'. He said it took him twenty minutes just to find the anchor bolt details. I had been doing it that way since my first job three years ago, thinking it saved time. Has anyone else had a senior drafter point out a basic habit you got wrong?

Ever hear about the guy who named every single layer "New Layer"? My buddy did that for a whole year before his boss lost it trying to find a door schedule.

How do you even work like that? I'd get lost in my own file after like two days. That boss must have had the patience of a saint for a whole year.
