My boss convinced me to switch from a 0.5mm to a 0.3mm lead for our MEP details, and after three weeks of redlines, I'm never going back.
The thinner line weight made a huge difference in clarity on the electrical overlays, especially for the congested areas around the main service panel, so what's the smallest lead you'll regularly use for construction documents?

Switched to 0.3mm for structural details and it's a game changer. The fine lines stop reinforcement from looking like a solid blob on smaller scale sheets. I won't go above 0.5mm for anything now.

What scale are you working at where 0.3mm makes that big a difference? I've tried finer tips before and they just clog up constantly with the material I use. Is there a specific brand or flow rate that makes it work for you?
