Walked through my old high school hallway and the lockers got smaller
Stopped by my old school in Dayton last weekend for a game, and I swear those hallway lockers used to be twice as wide. Even the ceiling felt lower, and I'm not even that tall at 5'10". Anyone else gone back somewhere from their teens and felt like the place physically shrank, or is it just me?

The locker thing gets me though. Sure, maybe they were always that size and my memory stretched them out, but the ceiling feels like a real change. I went back to my middle school in Cincy and the hallways felt narrow, but honestly I think I just got used to bigger spaces since. Kids probably think those same lockers are huge right now. It’s less about the place shrinking and more about how your frame of reference shifts with age. You still went back for a game though, so the place clearly means something to you, right?
