My pressure washer pump seized up right before a big job in Springfield
It was a Greenworks 2700 psi model that just quit after three years. I had to rent one from Home Depot for the day, which cost me $85. Anyone else have a pressure washer fail at the worst possible time?

Happens with every tool that sits for a while. In my experience, the seals dry out if you don't run them with pump protector before storage. That rental cost stings, but at least you got the job done.

Yeah, pump protector is key for anything with rubber seals. I learned that the hard way with an old pressure washer that sat in my garage over winter. The repair bill was almost as much as just buying a new one. Now I run the protector through for a few minutes before I put anything away, even if I plan to use it again soon. It's cheap insurance compared to dealing with cracked seals or paying for rentals.
