PSA: My son and I turned scrap wood into a backyard hideout
It took a whole Saturday, but seeing his smile was worth it. Why do we ever buy expensive toys?

What kind of wood did you end up using for the hideout? @coleharris using pallets is such a smart move for a treehouse, that stuff is solid. My neighbor made a whole play kitchen for his kids out of scrap plywood and some old cabinet hinges.

Man, this reminds me of the crazy blanket fort my sister and I made one rainy weekend. We used every cushion from the couch, some broom handles, and like a million safety pins. @coleharris your pallet treehouse sounds way cooler though, not gonna lie. Our masterpiece fell down if someone sneezed too hard. But man, eating popcorn in there with a string of Christmas lights, it was the best. Stuff you make just hits different.
